H1zK. Some episodic entries after the events of Half-Life 2 help to tie a bow on the story in some ways, but I think I speak for everyone when I say I'd like to know just what the heck the G-Man wants

The average time to beat Half-Life 2: Episode 1 is around 4-5 hours, depending on the player’s familiarity with the game and their playstyle. This duration includes both the main story campaign and any additional side missions or exploration.
Basically, the original gives more story (through gameplay) while Black Mesa gives story clues by dialogue. I think by these facts, that Half Life 1 is good for a first time because of more story being told. Question 2: Half Life 1 (you already completed, grats c:), Opposing Force, Blue Shift, Half Life 2, Episode 1, Episode 2.
Around the corner is a sole marine hanging out on the ledge. The crossbow or magnum are a good choice here, as enemies are visible at long range and there is hardly any cover. Continue along the ledge past the large concrete structure until you get to a cave. Route 2 . Creep around the ledge, and take out the marine in the cave any way you see fit.
As I completed my yearly playthrough of half life 2 this week, i found myself growing more and more bored during episode 2. The antlion caves felt interesting enough the first time through, but it seems to be the most stale part of the game for me. I love the industrial backdrops, the storyline, characters, physics puzzles. Etc.
